When I plug the encoder into the computer (Windows 8.1) via usb2 or usb3 I get something along the lines of 'There is a firmware update available' with options 'Update Now' and 'Update Later'
Selecting update now results in 'An error has occurred that has prevented the firmware on your H.264 Pro Recorder from being upgraded.' Please restart.
On restarting the same options come up with the same result.

In Media Express (v3.5) under devices I get 'No Device is connected' - None of the playback or capturing features seem active.And none of the Decklink SDK (v10.5.4) sample programs can see the device either.
